Happy Thanksgiving from AAEM President, Dr. Lisa A. Moreno

My family and I use Thanksgiving as a day to reflect on all that we are grateful for. I have always been extraordinarily blessed, and for many years AAEM has been one of my many blessings. On a daily basis, AAEM provides me with opportunities to learn, grow, and develop: with opportunities to be a better person and a better doctor. AAEM has provided me with the opportunity to develop friendships and collaborations with members at every level and with staff. I am thankful for the opportunity to serve a Board whose members have integrity and commitment. I am grateful to serve the EM organization that is the Champion of the Emergency Physician and the stalwart advocate of the emergency patient. Our members represent the finest that emergency medicine has to offer: true hearts, strong hands, brilliant minds, and unwavering commitment. Thank you for electing me to serve as your President. It is an honor and a blessing, and I am thankful.
